As a rough guide, smaller gardens typically take around 6–9 months from initial design through to planting, with larger or more complex projects taking considerably longer — particularly where planning permission is required.

It's also worth factoring in that good landscapers are in demand and may have a waiting list, and plants will need to be ordered several weeks in advance.
